Lovely, SirD!

And Cem, I want to go to that place.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Thank you friends... I would really like to get a proper digital camera and get back into photography. There are some amazing vistas and small spaces around here, the likes of which would have warmed Tolkien's heart I think.

I prefer the one on the left. It is more balanced.

Thanks V... yes, I agree. The rocks seem to intrude overmuch in the one on the right.

My professional opinion ;) would be the one on the right. The leading lines are slightly stronger, plus you've got the rule of thirds working for you in that one over the other. :D

I also prefer the one on the right. It seems to give more of a sense of the space.

I like this one because when you look at it on its side (left-side-up), it looks like there's a fossil of an insect on top, and a primitive design for a spaceship on the bottom.

Wow, I would not have noticed that, until you said something!

That's not what I see (cue Lali). Wait, yes, yes I see what you mean.

[ETA]: I also see something that looks like a totem or fertility icon on its side in the right third (or bottom third if Jude's logic is applied). Such a fascinating landscape and reflection.[/ETA]

Nice album Sir V. I like the one below. Though the colours are muted, it has the flavour of an impressionist landscape.

I like that one a lot too, Sir D. The Black Buttes.
