Rugby an ordered formation of players, used to restart play, in which the forwards of a team form up with arms interlocked and heads down, and push forward against a similar group from the opposing side. The ball is thrown into the scrum and the players try to gain possession of it by kicking it backward toward their own side.
2 British English a disorderly crowd of people or things: there was quite a scrum of people at the bar.
• a struggle or scuffle involving a crowd of people: ageing passengers often lost out in the scrum for the best seats.

The father of one of our daughter's friends is a 'Scrum Lord' which I thought was a made-up tongue-in-cheek title when she first told us what he did only to find out it's a real job description. I'm thinking in the case of Wordle, they must be referring to Rugby, which to me is even more remote knowledge.

Looking it up, scrum lord seems to have negative connotations/ a heavy handed scrum master- gone wrong. Now I'm wondering about the friends father...

I see some on the interwebs are referring to Elon as a scrum lord.
