Certainly, but to me it is still a shorthand for the word "Independent." But that is just me.

Yeah, well.. I couldn't come up with any other words given the letters that I'd already discounted. I wasn't sure 'indie' would have been considered a proper word. I looked it up on potential wordle words lists and it wasn't listed.
