Well that isn't too much of a stretch.
Seeing how you are already Anthymatter.

You can indeed prove that you are real by using the Cartesian proof that I've explained ad tedium and won't evoke again, though it's the only one that matters.

Regarding physics, Nerd, you have run nose first into the existential cement: You think you are pro-, others might think you are anti-, but you (and I, and all) are doesn't unless we prove otherwise.

It's best to start now.

I haven't knowingly met anyone else from HoF.

But I know I exist.

How do I know? Not telling...

Cogito ergo sum.

The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. Philosophers used their drunkeness as an excuse for their more ... "deep" ... Philosiphies.

Although the term "symposium" in our society means a collection of opinions or a discussion, in ancient Greece a symposium was a drinking party. :D

Right you are, elvshew: it is a combination of "sym" (a blend) and "po" ("pinein" to drink) and our old friend "-sion" (a composite noun suffix, similar to the Latin "-ty.")

I can't help but think of Synanon: the blending of many unnamed people, people unsure of whether they actually exist.

Or not.

Hey!! I might be one of them!

Isn't sure.

Mr. Prim has been to many a scientific symposium and reports that "drinking party" doesn't begin to describe it.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. I'm glad to learn (from narya's post a few pages back) that I'm not just an abstract notion.

Although I am much finer looking as a cat, abstract or not. 8)

Oh, and I've met a couple dozen of my imaginary abstract friends. One of them chainsawed my shrubbery. Is there a category for that in your research model? :D
Take my hand, my friend. We are here to walk one another home.

Well, a couple people who met me have expressed their surprise at the lack of red feathers and shiny helmets. ;)

But no, Wampus, as fine looking as your cat is, you yourself are much finer still.

Chainsaws are cool. I'm thinking of changing my name to Chainsaw.

... or was it just my imagination...

Wouldn't mind Wampus sitting on his lap . . . er . . . sitting on Wampus' lap . . . er.

"Chainsaw" would be a great nickname, tinwë. Or even "Hacksaw." I just wish my friends woud start to call me that without my encouragement. One shouldn't dub oneself.

[totally OT]
Chainsaw 8) , you should have seen the shrubbery yesterday and today. Burly men were tearing up the deck above the garage and flinging large boards and debris down into the bushes. Somehow they didn't think I'd mind if the scraggly plants, well mixed with weeds, took a beating. They were right. :)
[/OT, with apologies]

edit to add: Baby, do you really want people to call you Hack for short?

(I'll sit in your lap, but be warned: I shed.)
Take my hand, my friend. We are here to walk one another home.

"Hack" would be great, without the hairball implication.

Maybe Ziggy would be more appropriate for the bt persona.
