When I saw the headline my first reaction was "WTF France?!" Then S pointed out it's a bunch of kittens in a bag and if they can't form a coalition they'll be doing this again. But...still...WTF France?!

WTF the whole world TBH

Specific to France, though, I wasn't following closely, but my Twitter feed has happy gifs about it. :blackeye:

Two days ago from CNN: "Marine Le Pen promises French far right will rein in aid to Ukraine."

I had forogtten that Le Pen's Rassemblement National party got a €6 million loan from Russia in 2014. RN paid back the loan last fall, but this would have been the real payback. Sorry, Vladimir!

Yep, the two anti-RN groups seemed to have come to some sort of arrangement for the second round. No idea who's going to be PM though.

This reads like it should be in the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot thread, but what isn't these days.

I heard on the BBC earlier today that Russia has issued an arrest warrant for the late Alexey Navalny's widow, Yulia Navalnaya.

I was wondering the last time the British Conservative Party had a worse result in an election than they did last week.

I finally learned it today. It was 1761.

The reaction to Keir Starmer's ascendancy in parts of the mainstream U.K. press has been...odd. I'm still trying to decide if this is a bit of over-exuberance from progressives at the election result or a running bit of British humour.

The thirst over Zelenskyy and Trudeau made more sense to me...but that might just be me.

Trudeau still looks like he's in his 30s. He's 52, it's uncanny.

Nope, I think Trudeau is still pretty hot! He's much better looking than his father, but many women found his father sexy, too!

Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia are pulling out of a 2001 agreement that connected their power grid with the systems in Russia and Belarus.
