The photo is by my husband, I should say.

You found the boys!
We just get does and fawns. Except that one time when a buck had an argument with my bushes.

Adorable! Do they eat your potted garden plants?

Almost all of the potted plants and the ones in the raised beds are protected by deer netting. But they have done a number of the wildflowers in the yard, as you can see from that one fawn. I'm not sure what the dried brown stuff that the mama doe is eating and the other fawn is trying to get.

A couple of minutes after this we saw them jump over the fence to the horse pasture next door, and the two does were both drinking from the mama. it was so adorable!

So sweet!

Out neighborhood baby deer have not yet mastered being good pedestrians. One bounced out on the road in front of our car last night. Fortunately, my husband spotted it in time and the fawn bounced on.

On a tangent, it's why I don't trust self driving cars. Can they see the deer on the sidewalk and anticipate it running into the traffic? What about a child playing with a ball in the driveway? A bicyclist who is not slowing down before the bike path crosses the road?
