That's 100% correct.

Does that imply that Gondor only has one Field? Like the plague of Frog in Exodus?
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Gondor might have only one field…. The one in the front. Where else?

That is, rest and sleep normally, wake up in the morning and work in the garden.

Sam to Frodo, just before he starts talking about being in a Tale:

" I mean plain ordinary rest, and sleep, and waking up to a morning’s work in the garden."

Here's a new one.

King, you have devised cunning advice.

No. This quote is nowhere near your quote.
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

"O King, you have devised cunning counsel."

Melian to Thingol after he had the brilliant idea of demanding a silmaril from Beren as the price of his consent. She goes on to tell him that he has royally screwed up and doomed them all.

It doesn't say so in the text, but I picture her following up with a slow clap.

Close! You've identified the context, but the speaker and addressee are incorrect.
