Not really... I always use the same five test words and only try to solve it on the sixth line. That's why I usually don't post results here- it's always the same result: 6/6

Once in a great while, it will become obvious to me what the word is and I guess it before the sixth line, but that's very infrequent.

πŸŸ₯🟧🟧🟧🟩

Here's my strategy: When it tells you what classification your guess is under, click on that classification (the brown bar), then look at the description box about that classification. Click on the Wikipedia link at the bottom of the description box and look at the cladogram (tree) for that classification. Here's an example of fish cladograms: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teleost. The first one shows how the teleost class fish fit in with other vertebrates. Then the second one shows who's in the Teleost tree. Down at the very bottom of the tree it shows a fish labeled Percomorpha, which is a whole tree of its own, from seahorses to clown fish to puffer fish.

For your next guess, pick something far away on the same tree, but in the same classification as your "closest" guess, to see if you can narrow it down.

The classifications aren't always right (or agreed upon). For example, when I tried a practice game, it listed both snapping turtle and falcon under Archelosauria, a turtles-only classification. And it varies from Wiki page to Wiki page - I like the ones that are have common English names and have little pictures of the animals, rather than the ones that are just in scientific nomenclature. As I practice, I'm learning a lot. Not sure where I'll use it in the future ;)
