I saw Rose mention Squaredle so I gave it a try on Friday and it kicked my ass, but apparently the early-in-the-week puzzles are easier so I gave it another shot today.

At a certain point in the puzzles, I'm not sure if it's a percentage or how it works, various hints are added, like how many words remain which start with a certain letter. Eventually, after you've gained enough points and if you check the box, it will give you the first letter of each word & tell you how many letters there are in the word. If I'm still struggling, I'll use a word list. Sometimes a list of '5 letter words starting with the letter S' can contain hundreds of words but it's helpful when you're really stumped.

I found the indicators of how many words began with / included a given letter tile to be helpful yesterday, and today I had to rely not just on those but on the other hints and reveals you can earn. I'm eagerly dreading what tomorrow's 3/5 difficulty Squaredle will be like.

Oh! Awesome Eldy! I don't join/sign up for the leaderboards. I never have. I don't know why. I think it may be because, even back in my competitive swimming days, it was all about my personal best not winning the race/the competition.

Thanks, Rose! I tend to be wary of leaderboards because I know I have a strong competitive streak, but I don't really like having one, so I try to keep it leashed most of the time. But Squaredle didn't require creating an account to see where you rank on the leaderboard, so I gave in to temptation.
