No, no power. I'm at my office right now charging my phone and our lap tops up and taking care of some things before the next heavy rains are forecasted for this afternoon. Our only internet at home is through a hot spot using my phone, and that is how we did our wordle this morning.

It's back, at least for now. We have more heavy rains this afternoon, and PG&E just called to let us know that they think it is off again, but it isn't -- at least for now.

Oh no, still in the dark V? I hope you're not too cold and hopefully you're not wet. How long have you been without power? Do you have an alternate heat source? A fireplace or wood stove?

We have a gas heater so the only thing that doesn't work is the fan that blows the hot air outward. And when it rains it doesn't get as cold. We also have an old (1950s) gas stove, so we can cook with no electricity. We are fine, just inconvenienced. The biggest problems is that we are keeping the refrigerator closed to preserve the food, and our septic system pump doesn't run, so we have limited water going down the drain and flushing the toilets. And of course it is dark and we have limited internet usage. I've lost track of how much the power has been out. I think 5 of the last 8 days or so. I'm quicking myself that I didn't hand wash more dishes when it was on for 45 minutes yesterday rather than leaving them in the dishwasher, but at least we had the sense not to start the dishwasher, even though we didn't know that the power was going to go back out. We did know it was a possibility.

ETA: Some of our neighbors have been out the full 8 days!

Thanks, Rose. I've been pretty alright; my sleep for the first half of the week was bad even by my standards, despite me sincerely trying to sleep, but I was able to catch up last night. Just haven't really been in the mood to post, but I hope to be back regularly soon. And since I decided to check in, I might as well do a word game.
