After your "oasis" and "all the heavy......." clue (tricksy as it was), I kept thinking camel.....but what good was THAT? :x But a few seconds after reading your final clue, dromedary just appeared....like a shimmering mirage within my parched little brain. :D

Now I'm going to return to painting my kitchen wall whilst (hopefully) coming up with a new puzzle.
