I am fond of mushrooms (out of a field); have a very simple sense of humour (which even my appreciative critics find tiresome); I go to bed late and get up late.”

It’s a superb game. Nothing else feels as much like Lord of the Rings in a box than this does. Sauron is hugely powerful with vast armies but has to balance that against spending threat to try to hunt down the ring bearer. The fellowship must try to raise the alarm, and convince their allies to go to war, while trying to sow red herrings about where the ring bearer is. All the fellowship can hope for in a military victory is to hold out as long as they can. To really win, they have to slip past Mordor’s defenses and get the ring to the fire, fighting its corruption all the way. But it’s no simple retelling of the book. Sauron may march directly on Rivendell hoping for a swift strike, bypassing the massing armies in Gondor. The Fellowship might try to sneak past Saruman in the south, forgoing both the risk of the balrog and the aid of Galadriel and the Ents. They may split the fellowship early, sending Gimli to rouse the Dwarves of the Iron Hills to war, while Aragorn reveals himself in the south. It’s Epic in every way. Enjoy!

That is what I love about the game. It can go 100 directions each time and you can win or lose 1,000 different ways. I have warriors of ME but i dont yet have the lords of middle earth. Its hard to find at a good price but I will eventually, love me some Galadriel.

I have been playing war of the ring online, it has been amazing. All you need to do is buy tabletop simulator through steam and you can play a virtual board game version online. Highly recommend it.
