Re: The (no longer) much too early 2024 election thread

Oh dear. I spoke with my mom today and she told me 'all the signs are there' for the end of the world as we know it/WWIII. We're all doomed. :help:

Re: The (no longer) much too early 2024 election thread

'Normal' was a poor choice of a word on my part. Playing fast & loose with facts/natural occurrences and attributing them to the fault of one person with God meting out particular punishment -along with the ominous 'many more things to come' as if she can see into the future- is just plain silly.

Re: Games, Riddles, Puzzles, and other Distractions

I play a lot of word games. And I likely have more time to puzzle them out. :) I've long played 'Letter Garden' and recently beat the pants off my old high score (and I wasn't even trying for it, it is something I play 'in the background' while watching YouTube' ) and this is similar. I also play sq...

Yes, on the 'strands' page the theme is under the words: Today's theme when I access it on my desktop. When I access it on my phone it has the theme in quotation marks.

Re: War between Hamas and Israel

Viewed through the lens of Kushner's comments and knowing there was a meeting, the enforced ghetto-hood and the starving the people of Gaza raises suspicion that the annihilation of it's people has been intentional &/or planned. Gaza's people are being liquidated, as Masha Gessen stated in an ex...

The theme for strands is (always) listed on the game page before one starts playing.

This (the killing of these aid workers) and that military aid has not been cut will be a huge problem for the Biden administration.

Re: The (no longer) much too early 2024 election thread

I can't say if he's right, but I believe people tend to get overwhelmed and think, 'all politicians are bad/corrupt'. It's why the right has spent so much time on Biden's impeachment & the Hunter Biden story.

Agreed. But that is not the issue, is it? It's the unscrupulous USE of religion for personal gain that is the problem. It's disgusting.

Re: The (no longer) much too early 2024 election thread

The 22nd amendment only limits the number of elected terms and vacancy filling terms, not the number of terms obtained by other means. That raises an interesting point. Could he in theory run technically as the VP and have the nominal candidate for president resign so that he could become president...
