Given how hard Donald Trump is working to postpone the sentencing until after his various appeals are heard -- today a federal judge turned away Trump's attempt to move this state trial to federal court (on technical grounds; Trump can file again) -- I doubt he really thinks a conviction would help...

Earlier today I saw a tweet that said that Trump had announced that he was going to vote for the amendment. But now I see this.

The difference, of course, is that this is not just the first interview Harris is doing after selecting a running mate, it is also the first interview she is doing after becoming a candidate for president in this election.

That having been said, I think the criticism is ridiculous.

Morally, the right thing to do is to work within the system, flawed though it may be, rather than saying "the hell with the system, I'm going to do what I want to do." That is the path that Trump treads and leads to autocracy.
