Is a 3rd Season is Coming?
Most all accounts point to a season 3 even if Amazon hasn't made any 'official' announcement. It will likely air in August-September 2026. Personally, since the initial commitment was for five eight-episode 'seasons', they should just green-light the rest and let the producers get on with getting t...

Re: The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
Just booked tickets for Elora and I at the IMAX theatre for Saturday the 14th. Looks pretty good. It's an 8 minute clip , as in a chunk of the movie. It is not a 'trailer' or a 'teaser'. Don't watch it if you don't want to see an 8 minute official clip of the movie with no breaks. https://youtu.be/u...

The Forever War by Nick Bryant
Decided to read this book after the recent election. My wife read it earlier and said I'd be interested in it as it has a rather in-depth look into the history of the United States from someone outside the country. Nick Bryant explains how the hate, divisiveness and paranoia we see today are in fac...

Another friend https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20241112/9a8d8622f9a32f0f2769b1e9a59340ca.jpg That is an incredible pic! And the ultimate trust I get from Crowley is she got the two kids to wander about the yard foraging before sneaking off for a nap in the sun. She couldn't care less if I was walk...

Re: Nature Pics
Our resident Ravens are entering their spring nesting period. They have been collecting just the right sticks from the yard, and sometimes they will bring things to us in return. Shiny rocks, a wingnut, a tile square, sticks, etc. I'll find my photos and share them. I do have the pix of the gift ho...

No.... well, I guess it does if you pay Jon $5 a month.... I meant it was Elora from TORc back in the day. She posted her review on facebook. She doesn't do forums these days.

Re: The all too early Season Two thread (possible spoilers)
Nice review, Snowdog (though I'd kinda like to see your wife's spicy version  ) I had to sanitize it because some of the boards I still participate on don't like language. Since it is 88% her review anyway, I'm writing my own as I take notes while binging through the eight episodes....

Re: The all too early Season Two thread (possible spoilers)
Right. On to the last episode... where to start... a mixed bag for me, which kind of sums up my thoughts on Rings of Power in general. • The highlight of the Season are the scenes between Charles (Celebrimbor) and Charlie (Annatar/Sauron). I had doubts about the look of Celebrimbor, but he brought ...

Re: The all too early Season Two thread (possible spoilers)
To me, it's always been a given that we were going exploring into the world of fanfic, much like what PJ did, so I'm not hoping for much, especially with the 'usable lore dance' the producers are having to do with what they can get. That said; it's clearly well into the realm of a fanfic, so I accep...

Re: Nature Pics
*I* heard there’s a season in Melbourne where magpies attack people. Only if they see you as a threat during nesting season. Usually bicycle riders will get swooped on streets or park-paths. It's kind if like dogs chasing cars in a way. Occasionally walkers, but I've never had a problem as I tend t...

... I'll add to that the recycling of "a far green country under a swift sunrise" during the Numenorian funeral last time. This transform's Gandalf's speech to Pippin in Minas Tirith from an almost mystical revelation into just some old guy quoting Bible verses. ↑ This. Lazy writing pulli...

Not to mention Elendil's daughter. Númenor's insurrectionist power couple. https://i.imgur.com/S0hRaK0.png I admit I cheered when he got punched in the face. Eärien gave me the one cringeworthy scene so far in S2 ... I'm going from memory so likely paraphrased... Valandil: "Were being stripped...

Re: The all too early Season Two thread (possible spoilers)
Watched Ep 4 & 5 together. After a decent start with the first three, I thought Ep 4 was all over the place I assume they were just 'bridging' from the early episodes to the later episodes with the story snippets. Was definitely the weakest I've seen. Ep 5 got back to Annatar and Celebrimbor an...
