Re: The all too early Season Two thread (possible spoilers)

Future Nazgûl? Or poissibly residents of Rhun, but they would strike me as a bit too European looking for that.

Re: The all too early Season Two thread (possible spoilers)

Ciaran Hind and Rory Kinnear are two heavy hitters. That's some serious added gravitas.

Re: Have you read...can you recommend...

I believe the Amazon Prime Deal or Book of the day or something for America is The Gutter Prayer by Gareth Hanrahan. Well worth picking up.

The Last of Us

So, did anyone else watch? I'm a fan of the game, so biased. But I thought it was superb.

This is why I like living in Ireland where we're protected by law from unreasonable working environments.

Re: World News Thread

Its better than nothing for sure. However, here's the crux: The Stormont brake is likely to be the most controversial part of the deal as it raises questions over the imposition of EU law on a sovereign country. While the brake makes use of an old mechanism that exists in the Belfast Agreement, a pe...

Re: World News Thread

Its a combination of both. Bad harvest means the usual tomato supply is low, and Brexit has made it impractical to import from other locations because they would go off in the time it takes to get through customs

Re: The last movie you saw Thread

Its a black comedy, very much in the McDonagh vein. For those who only know McDonagh from his movies (In Bruges, 3 Billboards, etc) this is much more in line with his plays, (Beauty Queen of Leenane, Skull in Connemara, Cripple of Inishmaan etc)

The Banshees of Inisherin

Fab movie but I wonder how well it will translate outside of Ireland?
