Off-color, certainly, but hardly lewd. Poor John's letter is perfectly decent, if it were a pair of gloves in the package ;).

Well, I'm not sure that this is the letter that was referred to earlier, (since this letter is in fact said to be included in the official biography), but you can see where the man might go with things if he cut loose...
