Squiddy! Welcome!
Loooong time no see! Everything ok? :)

Well, this is an animal-friendly board. None of the software was tested on animals. No animals were harmed in the production of our posts! Or something like that. :D
but being a cheerful hobbit he had not needed hope, as long as despair could be postponed.

I didn't get the chance yet to say thank you for the warm welcome, Rowanberry. So, thank you! Yes, I took out this old CA name, dusted it off, saw that it still fit and put it on!

I also want to say a great big hi to Mighty Squid. You probably don't remember me from TORC, but you made a big impression on me! :D

Not being able to drop in every day makes it impossible to keep track on all the newcomers... :(

But, seems that at least Brian, Squiddy, Lurker and Lali have joined since my last visit - welcome all!  And, I think I saw Kushana's name on the memberlist too... 8)

:) :D Nice to be here!

(I see several of you have been here a while and NOT told me. :suspicious: That's fine. I won't take it personally.)

;)

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.

Now to find time to have a meaningful conversation. Of course, if it means being able to procrastinate even longer on my Christmas cards/letter, I'm in.

Come on in Lali and make yourself comfortable.

Voronwë put up an announcement in Turf when we opened ... but I expect you were too busy in the Hippo thread to notice? :D I always read your posts, you know ... we're both INTP's so I felt I needed to pay attention. :)

:D Good, INTP! (Let's see. <checks MBTI list> Hmmm, I don't see your name on there at all. I'll have to go fix that ASAP. As a fellow INTP, I'm sure you can appreciate my geekiness. ;) )

Actually, I did see the announcement; I was just busy with other duties at the time and didn't think I'd have the time to come visit.

Anyway, this place has a very nice feel to it. :) Nice job to all of you who put it all in place.

Thank you. :D

There's still plastic sheeting hanging in some of the doorways ... takes time to put the right curve on those big round Hobbit doors.

Plus Voronwë keeps changing his mind about the paint colors. :x

Hi, Lalaith! Welcome! And everyone else I've missed—too many. It's good to see so many wonderful people and cephalopods gracing these halls.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”
