Watching Leonard gasp for breath during that interview, and hearing him confess he finally gave up smoking, I'm willing to bet his death was mainly due to lung cancer, or some other smoking-related illness. Someone - I think his son - said he had fractured veterbrae in his spine, and was in a great deal of pain. I'm wondering if that was due to mets from lung cancer.
When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

Me, too!
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

I haven't watched the video yet, but I want to see yov do that. In person.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

My current beau, like, sadly, most nerdy white dudes, has less than zero dancing ability so, um, this might take a while. :D :D

From what you have said, I bet he would be willing to try to learn for you.
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

Awesome! The Tolkien quote made me tear up a bit...
When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

That's pretty spectacular!

The movie version of the reforging has always been my pet peeve. You can't just supeglue a sword back together! These guys reforge it entirely. You can see the pretty swirls from folding the "shards" together.

It was pretty impressive. :) I've made a knife on a charcoal forge before, and it's not easy. Some of the antique gadgets they show are pretty cool, too. :)

Also, I had no idea the pommel was a separate piece from the blade.

Had to share this...LOVE the ending!!
