Or Gullyvornians in cheneral.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Much as I enjoyed Conan, Cohen the Barbarian* kicks his tail.

If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

I am in love with Kurts voice
From the ashes, a fire shall be woken. A light from the shadow shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken. The crownless again shall be king.

Has anyone seen this? http://www.youtube.com/lifeinaday

Life in a Day is a historic global experiment to create a feature film, shot in a single day, by you. On July 24, you have 24 hours to capture a glimpse of your life on camera. The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald.

The film will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011 and be available on YouTube.

Given the global, user-generated nature of this project (as well as the guiding hand of Ridley Scott) I think the result should be fascinating.

Brilliant. :D Who'd have guessed the song was really about Wonder Bread? And the Flintstones?
Take my hand, my friend. We are here to walk one another home.

That's really well done.

I like this film done in 1906 in San Francisco right before a big earthquake knocked everything down.

It's interesting how the horse drawn carriages and carts and the cars and the street cars all interweave through the traffic.

It's also strange to realize that probably all of the children you see in the film are long dead of old age.
