Oh, wow! My brother made a model of Amon Sûl, but that Minas Tirith is AWESOME!
(My brother's medium was more mundane than candy or matchsticks or yarn - he used more typical model building supplies...balsa wood, plaster....)
A 'real' one in resin can be seen HERE
What my brother did was more like this: HERE
His isn't painted yet, but other than that, looks quite nice. He followed directions from a German site, I think, but it looked pretty similar to what I linked.

The "12 Angry Men" one is amusing. It is a movie about 12 guys locked in a room together, but still....
I don't know what Primer is, so I don't get the joke.
But I do think that the LotR chart is very very pretty, and reminds me of some maps I've seen in history textbooks. It is immediately obvious we're looking at the movies, not the books, though

.I had to look up Primer to get the joke as well... it's a time travel movie where you can only go back in time such that there are duplicates of yourself whenever you do... apparently it's very confusing.
And yes, it's clear it's the movies, but the concept is cool enough that I forgave him for that

Well, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (or if you're me, late Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday) anyway .
There has only ever been one comic of his I didn't like (it was a global warming thing...), so I pretty much check it out all the time... although it does kind of annoy me when I don't get the joke right away...
