Greetings all
The introduction to Arda Reconstructed (p25) it states - Tolkien wrties in his diary about Christopher..." - I have often wondered if Tolkien kept a private diary and if this would ever be published. Any thoughts?
Reading the Valaquenta Chapter now!!
Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy!
Tolkien certainly kept a diary at some points, since Carpenter refers to it (as I cite in the book). I think Scull and Hammond probably refer to it, as well, although I might be misremembering. However, I would be pretty shocked to see it ever published in full (even an edited version). Though it sure would be interesting, wouldn't it?
Enjoy!
