Goodness.
The Rohirrim had shields with a white horse on a green background, but I am not sure if Théoden's was the same.
A king should have a different shield no?

I'll go with green and gold.

Sorry Holby, I had to go check this one myself to confirm, but it was simply gold.

His golden shield was uncovered, and lo! it shone like an image of the Sun, and the grass flamed into green about the white feet of his steed.

CB:

What type of weather was it, as the body of Théoden was taken to the city?

Bright sunshine
Thick fog
Howling a gale
Rain

I cannot remember this! I will have to guess at bright sunshine.

I'll go on, if it's possible.

OK, this is a guess based on size and stupidity (mine, not the Trolls). I'm going to say smash them and eat them.

(fingers crossed)

Sorry Ethel, apparently it was "bite their throats"?

Back to Inanna:

Húrin the Tall held the post of?

Sorry... I missed the notification.

Umm... Húrin the Tall was in Gondor, am sure. But I don't remember his responsibility. Since he has been named, quite likely he was in some kind of direct service/chain of command to the Steward. And he was "tall".

Watcher/lookout? Gate Guard at the top of the city - Steward's area?

It was Warden of the Keys apparently Inanna! Not one I'd have known.

Anyway, Holby:

Who stood next to Beregond in the front rank of the men of Gondor, outside the Black Gates?

I have to say Pippin.

I'll go again if correct, and for the love of Pete maybe I will finally answer the last question correctly.

Shouldn't that be "for the love of PJ?"

Correct Holby!

For 3rd place, another toughie I'm afraid:

Who brought news from Northern Rammas that the Rohirrim could not come?

Knowing Holby and his view of the films, definitely not!

It was the guard that Gandalf and Pippin met on their way to Minas Tirith, but I can't remember his name.

PJ who? :P

Does the name Ingold ring a bell? I wouldn't have known it anyway.

CB: Who cried " Death! Tide, ride to ruin and the world's ending!"?

Erkenbrand
Treebeard
Aragorn
Éomer

If I saw the name among some others I may have had an inkling, but the name doesn't stick out.

I'm going to say Éomer, since I can't see Aragorn or Treebeard saying it. Erkenbrand maybe, but it seems more of an Éomer thing.

Éomer.
