Trump Indicted by Manhattan District Attorney

I split this off from the Russia Investigations and other Trump-related cases thread - VtF

"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

Our neighbors (the ones who were at the capitol on Jan. 6th) have left taking their young earth dinosaur creationism mobile museum semi-trailer (semi-saurus). I wonder if they are on their way to DC or wherever to defend their ... not sure what to call Trump.

So...now what? He going to get perp-walked? They going to freeze his passports? There going to be a stand-off at Mar-a-Lago?

Remains to be seen. Presumably the prosecutors are negotiating with his attorneys to see whether he will come in voluntarily or if they have to arrest him. In theory, if he is in Florida, it is possible that they would have extradite him (with Ron DeSantis ultimately being responsible for that), but I doubt it will come to that.

I predict he will make a scene the likes of which are rarely been seen outside of a 2 year old having a melt-down at the checkout counter.

Except he's too big to be tucked up under one's arm and carried off...

A comment I found humorous:
"Congratulations to Trump who finally got the majority of votes."

DeSantis is claiming that he won't
extradite. Despite the law saying that he needs to.

I'm seeing reports that Donald Trump will be arraigned in New York on Tuesday, that Alvin Bragg has obtained documents and testimony with information not previously known to the public, and that there are 34 counts in the indictment. We'll see.

And then he proposed legislation to repeal Florida’s resign-to-run law, which requires him to resign as governor before he can run for president.

Apparently, the grand jury heard from another mystery witness today for a half hour before voting on the indictment.

I am seeing that too. I am intensely curious to see the indictment.

ETA: This makes sense:

I'm guessing this isn't meant to indicate the former director of the FBI is a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow:

Oh, and he put an antisemitic dog whistle in his announcement. Again.
