Er, yes sorry not 'solved' - not sure what I meant to say there. Identified? Highlighted? I've got too many things going at once it seems.

edit: addressed. I think that's what I intended...

I edited your post so that it at least gives some information of what it is that you are talking about without having to click on the link first.

I can summarize:

Some buildings cost more than others. You see two buildings, one looks nicer and you ask how much more it costs, but it didn't cost as much because Turmp doesn't pay his contractors so his buildings actually cost a lot less than they should, and lots of businesses have suffered because of it.

I think anyone who didn't get paid for their part of building his buildings should simply go back and reclaim their materials. See how good his f'ing buildings look then. :rage:

My question is, why can't his supporters see that this man does not have a cohesive thought process? He is (supposedly) one of the most powerful people in the world and he cannot concentrate or stay on topic and often bounces around to things that are totally irrelevant.

If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

My take: After seeing what Donald Trump has done as president, anyone.. just about ANYONE feels as if they can be elected and can do a better job.

This is scary. For whatever (irrational) reason too many people look to celebrities whether they have a modicum of experience, intelligence or no. Look where that's gotten us. In a fine mess.
In the UK when people were given the chance to vote on the name of a new ship in HRM fleet they voted for 'Boaty McBoat face'. We're doomed.

I don't understand why so many people are taking this seriously. Do people not understand that to run for president you need to actually be on the ballot? And that the deadline to get on the ballot as an independent has already passed on a number of important states, and is rapidly approaching in most of the others? And that he has no campaign structure, is making no effort to gather signatures to get on any of those ballots, and can't start a new party to get on the ballot?

This is a publicity stunt, pure and simple. It is distressing only that it worked in getting people's attention. It shouldn't.

I just read a story saying that Clarence Thomas is considering retiring before the election to give Trump a chance to replace him (which I don't believe is true, and let's not get sidetracked here in a discussion about how repulsive it is that McConnell has made it clear that if there is an opening this year he will push it through, in contrast to 2016). Given the fact that the main reason Thomas was nominated in the first place is that he was one to the only conservative African-American candidates available to replace the great Thurgood Marshall, and given Trump's history of nominating or appointing people with absolutely no experience in the jobs they are to do, perhaps Trump will nominate Kanye to the court to keep the line of African-American justices going.

A couple days ago I saw an article in which Alito emphatically denied he intended to retire and another speculating about Thomas. And a couple days before that I saw an editorial speculating that Trump wanted another Supreme Court nomination to gin up excitement for his campaign. So, in short, more publicity stunts.

I would not put it past Trump/Barr to float rumors of a retirement, as they did with Geoffrey Berman, in an attempt to put pressure on them to do so to distract/gin up support/enthusiasm.
