Well; they do enjoy both keyboards and shortcuts.

Think conspiracy theorist meets white supremacist meets youtube commentator and they all have a baby together, and that baby suffers mental defects due to its bizarre paternity, and is also in the middle of its terrible twos.

Appointing Bannon to a no-power position makes sense in this context.

It remains to be seen, but it is not likely to be a "no-power position." It is basically the same position that Karl Rove held under Bush and David Axelrod held under Obama, and both held enormous power. The fact that in the press release announcing Bannon and Priebus's appointments Bannon was given top billing suggests who is likely to have the more influence over Trump.

Also in the context of his campaign rhetoric being perfectly sincere.

Can you explain why you would assume sudden sincerity in someone who has been proven a liar and scam artist in all of his previous dealings?

It's so wonderful that we're in a place where "don't worry, he was just lying about the white supremacy stuff the way he lies about everything else" is the optimistic position.

Yes, I can. It's because when people are saying things about themselves that make them look bad, they are usually truthful.

Not just that. His past actions and words when not on the campaign trail indicate it as well. He was investigated for denying housing to African-Americans. Past employees have gone on record saying that they "hid" black employees when he visited his properties.

Ironically, twice now my respect for Glenn Beck has risen during this election.

That is so often found to be true that it has become codified as an exception to the hearsay rule. Normally repeating what someone else has said is not admissible evidence because it is not considered reliable. However, there are several exceptions to that rule and one of them is known as "declarations against interest." It is basically exactly what Frelga said.

So the Muslim Registry sounds like it's going to be a real thing.

Let's see what the courts have to say about it. I'm pretty sure this is the sort of nonsense our First Amendment was written for.

I saw it, but I'm hoping it's not true. In any case, if it's true, that will be the first big thing our country will need to fight against.

I think one of the worst things for me so far (personally) is finding out that some of my (former) friends are really misogynistic, racist, homophobic a**holes.
