The words didn't change all that much, but it went from first person to third person, and the action that the person hadn't heard about switched directions.

Ah wait I think I know this one. Its someone talking about the Hobbits. "I had not heard that they breathe smoke from their mouths" or something. Either Merry or Pippin replies that it was Tobold Hornblower who introduced the art of smoking. Is it Théoden in Flotsam and Jetsam?
