That's right! (Though in a different form). The other word that I referred to (the "f" word) is unchanged from the original.

Since "stub" is one of the words, I'm guessing "legs" is a stand-in for "toe". So this is a possibility:

Is it when the Fellowship are being blindfolded by the Galadhrim entering Lothlórien? Don't have my books but I think its Gimli saying something like "Very well then but I shall hold you accountable for any fall or stubbed toes"?

If it helps, the first sentence had archaic but easy-to-recognize forms of a couple of very common words. I think the translator was not familiar with these forms, and made something up from scratch. The second sentence preserved a couple of key words, but lost the overall meaning.It is unpleasant. This message is not only the cloak of the hobby.
