The Tolkien Translation Game!
Re: The Tolkien Translation Game!
"Wingless silent scream and dance bites, tweeted that glimpse of Mita watered down."
I'm not sure where "Mita" came from, or indeed what it means.

Wow.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

That's what I thought
Probably the best way to narrow this one down is to make a guess, and I can respond with "after" or "before"...

The riddle game?
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Voiceless it cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.

Impressive, Frelga! It looks like "mouthless" somehow morphed into "Mita" and "toothless" became "tweeted". Weird.
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

My next guess was going to be that this was a quote from an AU where Bilbo and Gollum go on to found Middle-earth's first social network.
Next quote.
These things was the old capital punishment. Well now that your destiny is great.

Why do so many of these sound like Trump tweets?

Well, I'll just take a wild guess - spoken during Gandalf's return to Bag End after several years' absence?

Not Gandalf. Not Bag End.
