Defeat the enemies with his weapons and his weapons

(I tried to do another but it literally did not change other than changing "it is" to "it's". No fun in that.)

His weapons are weaker than my weapons. Sad!

Is the enemy in this quote referring to Sauron? (assuming the word is in the original quote)

No, nor even his servants, at least directly.

And I should add that the specific word "enemies" is not in the original quote, though it is a translation of a synonym.

And the word "weapons" does in fact appear twice in the original quote.
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

So the word for "enemy" is in the plural?

Is it "foes"?

Is another hint needed?

Contrary to what the translated quote says, the two sets of weapons referred to are those of the person being talked about and those of his or her foes.

Nope. During the time period that Gandalf is MPD (Missing, Presumed Dead).

Well, here's a possibility:

"Then let us lay him in a boat with his weapons, and the weapons of his vanquished foes".

Aragorn to Legolas and Gimli, referring to Boromir.

A very good possibility, given that it is the one!

Well done on quite a hard one. Your turn.
