Do you have a guess, Inanna?

Okay, I found it, but only because of Inanna's guesses. Do you want to go for it, Inanna?

"Either you help me to look for him, or I go and leave you here to get out of the mess as best as you can yourselves."

This is after they escaped from the goblins, and then realized that Bilbo wasn't with them.

It actually included the previous sentence as well: "I brought him, and I don't bring things that are of no use." How it got from that long sentences to the two short ones I can't even imagine.

Your turn.

Are you talking about the speaker, or the subject?

Was talking about the Speaker, thanks.

I really need to get The Hobbit for my kindle. Else I will forget to look up this exact quote too.

There should be enough clues now to narrow it down, but is another hint needed?

Well, Master Underhill, if I were you, I should stop your friends from talking too much.

Here you go:

I am all the poor girl to go abroad. She wasn't. Even though she has spoken.

Hint needed? It's from the Lord of the Rings. The meaning is totally mangled, but some key words remain.

Is it Sam to Frodo: "‘It seems she didn’t like my going abroad at all, poor lass; but as I hadn’t spoken, she couldn’t say so."
