Re: New Star Wars films from Disney: SPOILERS WELCOME
Just stay away from anything Disney, that's all I'd suggest. Refuse mysterious packages, and check the backseat of your car before you get in.
Just sayin'.
This is fun to follow. Should we start a betting pool on who posts it next (my money's on Boing Boing, or maybe Gizmodo or AICN)? And maybe a side pool on how long it takes to show up on Entertainment Weekly or CNN?

“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

I should point out, in self-justification for my laziness, that the material you based all this on is equally "out there" but has NOT gone viral. Your forming it into a narrative is what made it so much more attractive.

It was here first, folks. We are Star Wars spoilers hipsters. Or something.

And we all know that Han shot first.

"Yeah, that's old news. And I know the guy who wrote it. He shared it with me before anyone else saw it. Did you have anything else to tell me? No. Run along then."

Let's all practice our world-weary expressions, shall we?

PtB, I'm actually way more understated than that. I wouldn't tell anyone where I first saw it unless they pushed. I don't actually like it when someone looks like they're seriously considering throwing something at me.

And CinemaBlend too. That one made the Google News "Editor's Picks" section.

From the article:
Well played, sir! Well played, I say!Star Wars Super Fan Uses Common Sense And Leaked Spoilers To Create Outline Of Force Awakens
Here’s the deal: one hardcore Star Wars fan from Making Star Wars took all the rumors and leaks and spoilers that have been floating around and, using that as a road map, along with a dose of common sense, has compiled a possible outline of The Force Awakens.
. . . it definitely has the swashbuckling feel of a Star Wars movie, though whether that’s because as huge Star Wars fan wrote this or because it’s the real story remains to be seen.

I appreciate that. But all I did was write a synopsis based on a bunch of reports from a website so that y'all could get a sense of what the film might be about. Credit goes to The Hall of Fire! Thanks Elrond.
I'm actually pretty surprised that no one else among the tens of millions of Star Wars fans out there did something like this.

The credit's yours, of course—that was a lot of work, and I was very surprised that you went ahead and did it; my griping about the format of the original spoiler posts wasn't meant as a nudge, and I don't think anyone else's was, either. But of course we've all enjoyed the result, including the wider result!

I'm trying to decide if I should post PtB's work to reddit in the hopes of sweet sweet karma or if I should wait for someone else to do it (like PtB/DarthLightlyBruise)...

Haven't seen it in r/movies or r/starwars. Anyone else want the honors or should I risk either going down in flames or kissing my inbox goodbye?

In addition to it being covered in a broad range of entertainment media (including Yahoo), a whole bunch of popular Star Wars podcasts (Star Wars Underworld, Full of Sith and Now This is Podcasting), have gone through the entire synopsis on their shows.
I just love that this all started with a request from a few Halofirians. Reminds me of how Viagra began as recalled heart medicine. And for some reason, no one was giving the pills back.
Re: New Star Wars films from Disney: SPOILERS WELCOME
One would think that would've generated more excitement on reddit. Maybe they should've tried a different sub.

I'm proud to have been one of them.
