Awesome stuff! Wish I were there to see it.
And I've always thought you would have made an fantastic Vitoller. With that voice you couldn't use to order coal in because it would turn to diamonds.

If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Wish I could see it, too! Break a leg! (Or do they say that in Ireland?)
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

We hope to video it, yes, and I do have a very small cameo as the voice of the announcements at the start of the play!
To be honest, directing is really about how much you can compromise. I can safely say that not one actor, sound effect, lighting cue or piece of set design matched what I wanted exactly. It becomes less about putting your personal vision on stage, and more about getting the best out of everyone working with you, whatever their level of ability. I felt like a conductor last night when it all came together. Everyone was playing their own instrument, but I was the one playing the Symphony! I hope that doesn't sound arrogant.

It sounds accurate.
