But at least it was because you're too young, not because you're too old. :D
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

How could I? Max von Sydow's nuanced performance as Ming defined an era.

How could one forget such classic lines as

"Flash, I love you...but we only have 14 hours to save the Earth!"

Voronwë the Faithful wrote:I'm pretty sure that with a "big gun" screenwriter (as per Ax above) like Michael Arndt on board it is likely to be a new story, and not a rehash of one of the novelizations.
Apparently, Michael Arndt is no longer the screenwriter. He has been replaced by Lawrence Kasden, who was the co-writer of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, along with Abrams himself.

Anyone read about this yesterday?

Star Wars sequel: Open auditions to be held in UK
According to a casting notice the film-makers are looking to fill two roles.

They are a "street smart and strong" orphaned girl in her late teens and a "smart capable" man in his late teens or early 20s.

They have announced the cast for Star Wars VII.
Big surprise, Andy Serkis is in it. Which increases my anticipation quite a bit.

Besides the cast from the older trilogy, I don't know any of the other actors mentioned.

Domhnall Gleeson, son of Brendan Gleeson, is a wonderful actor. Delighted for him.

Very interesting. I would guess that Andy will be doing performance capture, but that is not yet clear.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were both, like in King Kong.

There's a legend in there, Smaug. Max von Sydow! Very excited about this.

Though I'm not excited about JJ Abrams, I hope he surprises me.

Oh, and Adam Driver is known as one of the main characters in Girls. IMO that's a pretty irritating show (with moments of good humor), but Driver's very good in it.
