Ev'rybody's talkin' 'bout

Bagism, Shagism, Dragism, Madism, Ragism, Tagism
This-ism, that-ism, ism ism ism
All we are saying is give peace a chance
All we are saying is give peace a chance

Rest in peace, John, and thank you.
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

And before I hit the hay, with Howard Cosell ringing in my ears during a Patriots-Dolphins game 30 years ago;

Give Peace A Chance.
Cold Turkey Has Got Me On The Run.
Woman.
Jist Like Starting Over.
Ah! böwakawa poussé, poussé
Please Please Me.
Happy Christmas.
50 acorns tied in a sack.

Imagine.

And...

Please believe me, if you don't need me
I'm going but I need a little time
I promise that I'll drown myself in mysticated wine...

Jim Morrison would have been 67 today.

I remember on Dec 8th a rock pub in Pune (location of my undergraduate alma mater) would hold a John and Jim night.

And not to cheapen John and Jim or anything, Mr and Mrs. Mahima just celebrated their ninth anniversary.

“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

I, personally, love the Ballad of John and Yoko.
And almost all his other music, too. It's hard to believe it was 30 years ago. I can remember standing in the kitchen and crying when the news came on the radio.

Rock on.
Dig deeper.
