Feb 12 METROPOLIS restoration streaming

Post by sauronsfinger »

One of the truly greatest films of all time was METROPOLIS - the Fritz Lang classic. Today - Feb 12 during the early afternoon it will be streamed over the net with an additional one hour of footage which was thought to be lost. This is an amazing event and we can only hope it will be followed by a blueray DVD of the same. Go to this link for details on how to get it.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I heard about the restoration, and I heard the additional footage helped with the story pacing. What do you think?
