Time to retire... the future of theatre is in safe hands.

The Vinyamars on Stage! This time at Bag End
You are on my list, SirD! That became an earworm all day.
Anyway, REL posted this parody of the Dove beauty video that went around last week or so. (I posted a link somewhere in Bag End.)

I'd seen that earlier and it is funny but, while I know it's just a joke, but I was a tiny bit annoyed at the suggestion that men don't have their share of these issues too... (Plus it was kinda weird that they'd pick a bunch of quite good looking guys and then have the women say they were freakisly ugly. )

<slips in to give a belated for Aoife> . . . wonder where she ever got it?
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Willie Nelson aka Gandalf, and he also make a great Magneto.

From the ashes, a fire shall be woken. A light from the shadow shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken. The crownless again shall be king.

That was ADORABLE.
They actually have become serious friends IRL. Which is perfect. I follow Leonard Nimoy on Twitter, and he's always meeting Zachary Quinto for lunch, or for golf, or going to one of his plays.
My favorite Spock Fact is that when Mrs. Nimoy (of many years) first met Zachary Quinto, she kept saying "That is so weird!" because he looked so much like her husband as a young man. It is weird, in a way. But lucky that such a good actor looked so right for the role.

Leonard actually makes the lines from the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins seem pleasant, rather than ridiculous, despite so many years of conditioning to think of it as ridiculous.
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."
